Happy Friday Families!
It has been a great week in kindergarten! We have been enjoying learning about the different holidays celebrated around the world. We also enjoyed talking about how the holidays look different in each of our homes, and sharing our holiday traditions. We will be continuing to talk about holidays around the world next week. In your student’s blue folder is their first formally published piece of writing from this year. We wrote list and label book. They worked so hard on these and are very proud! They turned out awesome. Monday is Polar Express Day! We will wear our PJs and students may bring in one small stuffed animal / lovie. It will be a fun filled day where we watch the movie, read the book, and do lots of fun activities based on the story. Our holiday party will be on Tuesday Dec 20th at 1:50. You are all welcome to attend and help us celebrate the holiday season. Thank you to our parents who have volunteered to come in and help with the party! February 3 we will be going to the Circus! We will need 4 volunteers to go with our class. You will need to be a registered CMS volunteer, and you will have to pay for your circus ticket. If you are interested in attending, send me an email before December 20th expressing your interest. I will then do a lottery with all the names to see who will come. This is truly a magical field trip! Have a great weekend! Mrs. Seropian

Happy Thursday Families!
It has been a great week in kindergarten! We have absolutely loved our gingerbread folk tale unit! Their gingerbread men in hiding turned out so cute! They are up in the hall if you want to check them out. We particularly enjoyed wrapping up today with a gingerbread tasting. Our holiday program was a huge success! Thursday night the kids all looked so adorable dressed up in their holiday outfits, and they did a great job for the school today. They were so proud. The program always warms my heart. Next week we will be talking about holidays around the world. I sent home a page today for you to fill out with your student; it tells about your family’s holiday traditions. We will be talking about how traditions differ from family to family and country to country. February 3 we will be going to the Circus! We will need 4 volunteers to go with our class. You will need to be a registered CMS volunteer, and you will have to pay for your circus ticket. If you are interested in attending send me an email before December 20th expressing your interest. I will then do a lottery with all the names to see who will come. This is truly a magical field trip! Please note that Polar Express Day will now be on Monday December 19, and not on Wednesday December 21 as originally planned. This will be a fun day and students are encouraged to wear their PJs just like in the book. A few special notes from others: If your child is receiving enrichment services from Mrs. Garber or Mrs. Mac, please visit their weebly page to see what's happening at Selwyn. www.SelwynTDprogram.weebly.com Have a great weekend!
